My work emerges from materials; their texture, weight, and behavior.
Plaster, wood, paraffin, plastic: everyday elements that I explore, combine, and allow to settle into new forms. The tension between soft and hard, rough and smooth, transparent and solid is a recurring theme.
I often work in series, where materials and forms repeat, but never in exactly the same way. It shifts between quietness and play.
At times sparse and white, then suddenly bold and rhythmic.
Each object is a study of contrast, combination, tension.
